Kent Schaffer is a seasoned criminal defense lawyer with over 40 years of experience, having started his legal career as an investigator for famed lawyer Richard “Racehorse” Haynes before earning his law degree. Kent is licensed to practice in Texas state and federal courts as well as in D.C., and he has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and several U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals. He has represented a wide array of high-profile clients, including politicians, entertainers, athletes, and major corporations. Among other esteemed titles, Kent is a Past President of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TCDLA) and the Harris County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (HCCLA), and he is a 12-year member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).
